Friday Five: Fall Transformations

Today's Friday Five from the Revgals asks us to list five transformations that the coming fall will bring our way.

Let's see...

1. My evenings will transform from the relative quiet of summer to the hectic-ness of rehearsals and concerts and everything else that comes with September!

2. My home will transform to the place we are hoping to sell next summer, so work will be done to that end in the winter months.

3. My job will transform to permanent (maybe even as soon as next week!)

4. There will be changes in the contents of my trunk, as the golf clubs come out and go in to the garage for another season.

5. The cats will not transform at all, and will continue to be beacons of consistency in the cute and stoopid departments.

Bonus Question: Give us your favourite activity that is made possible by the arrival of fall.

I have two... Walking on crunchy leaves, and wearing turtlenecks.

Mmmm...crunchy leaves. It's been hot and dry enough that we've already got some of them. I miss the slightly cinnamon-y smell of burning leaves.
Oh, and cats. Stoopid. Yep.

How I envy crunchy leaves. ...never happens in TX. I love autumn in the north and miss it.

Crunchy eaves and tutlenecks are two of my favorite things about living in place where the seasons change. Congrats on the job!

Chorus, I am coming to your country. My colleague and I are taking the Canadian railway across Canada from Toronto to Vancouver next week. I am looking forward to seeing a lot of wheatfields.

Let's hear it for those catly beacons of consistency!

Great play!

Great play (I love the crunchy leaves sound too). And thanks for the halibut recipe - I made it last night for the in-laws, and it was a HUGE hit.

Congratulations on the job! :)

When I was singing regularly, concert season was one of my favorite times of the year!

Unfortunately, here in South MS, our seasons consist of summer and January and more pine needles than fallen leaves. I do love sweater weather, though. And quirky cats!

Yes, I like the turtlenecks too (in the proper season). And you remind me that the music in church will start getting more interesting as the choir comes back.

I love crunchy leaves too! And yes, cats transform on their own schedules.

Best wishes to you as you get ready to sell your home. I really have no sentimental attachment to mine other than to the yard and surrounding property, so emotionally it won't be difficult, but getting the place looking at least marginally attractive will be a challenge...even though one of the neighborhood realtors told me that it's the woodsy land parcel itself, not the house, that's going to close the deal.

My cats transform into piggies storing food for winter. They get so fat.

I can't wait to put away the shorts.
